Marcus is an experienced expert with over 30 years of experience in the field of corporate finance. Originally from an entrepreneurial family, he completed a banking apprenticeship and holds a diploma in business administration from the University of Passau.
His diverse professional career includes roles as a financial service provider, in the distribution of financial products, and in advisory roles for banks and corporations. Particularly significant was his long-standing position as Group Treasurer of a large, family-owned media company in Germany. Marcus places great importance on the long-term security and continuous growth of his clients’/owner’s wealth.
His philosophy of “play win-win or don’t play at all” reflects his belief that successful business relationships should be based on mutual benefit. Furthermore, Marcus has a broad network of institutional investors with whom he develops tailored financing solutions.
His strengths lie not only in his technical expertise but also in his ability to conceive and implement new business models. His extensive experience enables him to bring different perspectives and develop holistic solutions.

Gordian the President of the Board of Directors at Limmat Capital, a distinguished Chartered Financial Analyst with 16 years of expertise in portfolio management, business development, and strategy. Gordian’s philosophy emphasizes action over words, believing that the impact of one’s actions far outweighs verbal communication. With a focus on combining people, process, and product, he excels in conceiving and executing strategies tailored to achieve optimal results. With a keen interest in both the conceptualization and implementation of strategies, Gordian brings a wealth of experience and insight to the realm of financial management.

CFO, CRO DEPUTY
Anastasia CFO and Deputy CRO at Limmat Capital, is a Certified Swiss Specialist for Finance and Accounting. She holds a Master in Business Administration with a specialization in International Business. With expertise in accounting, finance, audits, taxation, and risk management, she has a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial services to leading Swiss private asset management firms, hedge funds, and high net worth individuals.

David holds key positions as Partner, Board Member, and Compliance Consultant at Integritas Compliance AG since 2022.
He plays a crucial role in providing essential support to Limmat Capital, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards. David’s expertise is instrumental in upholding regulatory compliance and preserving financial integrity.

COO, CRO
Fabian is responsible for the firm’s operations and risk control. Before, he has been working for Limmat Capital in several other functions since 2018. Fabian holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and shares the passion for markets with the rest of the team.

Christoph is a Chartered Financial Analyst with 14 years of experience. His statistical background enables him to adhere to a “Numbers first, story later” mentality. He strongly believes that fundamental analysis should be grounded by formulating common sense hypotheses and scenario analysis. After completing a commercial apprenticeship at the bank, Ramon became a stock exchange floor trader, then transitioned to electronic stock trading, and eventually assumed the role of managing the LC Equity Fund at Limmat Capital. He is fascinated by the intricacies of economics, financial markets, and investor behavior. Through personal interactions with numerous Swiss companies, he deepens his understanding of their business models and bridges theory with practice. With over 30 years of experience, Ramon finds that his expertise greatly aids in making sound decisions promptly.

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with an impressive 31 years of dedicated experience in portfolio management and financial research. His passion for financial markets and the research process is the driving force behind his precise decision-making. Frederick specializes in segregated discretionary portfolio management, multi-asset class long-only funds, and hedge fund management, offering tailored strategies to meet diverse investment objectives. With extensive expertise in economics, macro research, equity, fixed income research, and quantitative methodologies, Frederick provides comprehensive solutions for navigating the complexities of today’s financial landscape.

CEO
Raphael, CEO and Co-Founder of Limmat Capital, is a seasoned expert with a solid foundation of banking knowledge and extensive experience in the financial sector. He began his career at the Swiss Bank Corporation (SBC), where he acquired comprehensive expertise in securities trading and sales, both at SBC and at two Swiss private banks.
From 1997 to 2004, Raphael, along with his business partner Ramon, successfully led a joint venture with a renowned Zurich-based private bank, specializing in trading Swiss stocks and derivatives.
In 2005, Raphael, together with Ramon, founded Limmat Capital Alternative Investment AG. Here, he spearheaded the successful introduction of a trading strategy focused on Swiss stocks and derivatives.
Starting from 2008, Raphael actively drove the expansion of Limmat Capital’s investment expertise. He initiated the development of fundamental and quantitative research capabilities and seamlessly integrated the acquired insights into new investment strategies.
Furthermore, Raphael played a pivotal role in the expansion of Limmat Capital’s investment platform. Through close collaboration with the Operations Team, new strategies were effectively implemented, and relationships with brokers were strategically strengthened, significantly contributing to the company’s success.
